Hi Audrey, I am afraid that this not not something that we are able to really help you with. Our Lancashire is made in 20kg blocks which would not be the right shape for you anyway and we are only able to sell 1.25kg pieces online (but the wrong shape for your cake). You might be better off discussing this with a cheese cake specialist or a local delicatessen? Sorry I cannot give you more help and good luck with the wedding.

Hello,
Is it possible to visit the Inglewhite Dairy and is there a Farm shop?
Many thanks

Hi Graham, I am afraid we are not set up for people to visit us at the dairy. I would point you in the direction of our online shop if you wish to purchase our cheeses direct from us? Thanks for your interest.

one of the best cheeses I have tasted, cannot locate in any stores now, when will it become available again and where?

Hi Anne, Tesco Colchester Extra & Tesco Colchester Greenstead Road have stocks - but it is sold as Tesco Finest Beacon Blue Goats Cheese 150g & not Blacksticks Silk. Hope this helps and glad to hear you like it.
Q : The best cheese ever!
From: Kelly, York, North Yorkshire 18/02/2010
I would never have imagined myself logging on to a cheese website but I have to say, this is the best cheese I have ever tasted! I found it by chance looking for a stilton on the supermarket shelves. The packaging/description worked on me. Sounded like just what i was looking for! It really is so smooth and creamy with the right blue flavour. Perfect. Thank you!

Thanks for the message Kelly and welcome to the website! I assume you mean Blacksticks Blue? Do look out for the other Blacksticks cheeses as we hope that you might find a few more favourites! Many thanks for the positive comments.

Ohhhh this cheese is superb !!! In my opinion it is far better than Stilton!! I shall always use it instead of Stilton in the future...
Yum Yum well done.

I know Blacksticks Velvet is not available Dec-Jan.Can you tell us when we can anticipate it being back on the shelves please ?
A: Blacksticks Velvet
From: Phil Walker, Butlers 18/01/2010
Hi Mike, we have just sent our last order of Velvet into Marks & Spencer, so if you are quick you might still be able to find some on the shelves there. We also currently have a small amount still available for webshop customers. Failing this it will become available end of March/ early April. If you would like us to get in touch with you when it is available again please just let me know.

As an ex-pat from Wigan can I congratulate you on BSBwhich has appeared in our local Sainsbury's. It certainly beats Derbyshire Blue and dare I say king Stilton!!

just been given some of your lovely blacksticks blue cheese. It says eat within 3 days! surely thats not necessary - what could go wrong if we keep it in the fridge.

From: Sarah Jones (Technical), Butlers 15/01/2010
Hi Pauline,

Thanks for your enquiry, once unwrapped we would recommend storing your cheese in wax paper, foil or film and to keep it refrigerated. As it is a soft cheese we would recommend eating Blacksticks Blue within 3 days so that you can enjoy it at its prime. Hope this helps!
